B2W Software, a leading provider of heavy construction management software, presented its 2021 Innovation Awards at the company’s 20th annual User Conference, held online March 2-4, to a diverse group of contractors excelling with its ONE Platform.
Vallencourt Construction and Mohawk Valley Materials shared the award for Best ROI with the ONE Platform, B2W Software’s unified platform for estimating and operations. Vallencourt and Mohawk Valley both utilize the full B2W platform for estimating, scheduling, field tracking, equipment maintenance and electronic forms and reporting.
Best ROI for use of a Single B2W Element went to GeoStabilization International, and BARD Materials earned the award for Most Innovative New Use of B2W Software. Judges selected winners based on applications submitted by contractors throughout North America.
“B2W opened our eyes to new possibilities and made it obvious that a full, unified platform was what we really needed,” explains Dan Vallencourt, vice president of the family-owned site development company headquartered in Florida. “The ONE Platform can fundamentally change the way your company operates and, if you do it correctly, the return comes back to you many times over.”
Fred Brooks, chief of operations, said Mohawk Valley is expanding its use of technology in parallel with its rapid growth, and that B2W helped the company to move to a more consolidated, unified management of estimating and operations. The company is based in Rome, New York and performs a wide range of land clearing, construction and material supply services for federal and commercial projects throughout the United States.
Improved processes, preventive maintenance and uptime contributed $5 million to the bottom line at GeoStabilization International in the first year of full implementation of B2W Maintain, according to vice president of fleet Jeff Bremer. Bremer’s team uses the B2W maintenance software to manage more than 1,000 pieces of equipment. The company is headquartered in Colorado and provides specialized geohazard mitigation services including emergency landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation and grouting throughout North America and in New Zealand.
BARD Materials teamed up with B2W to customize daily performance tracking and analysis to meet unique requirements for its aggregate production operations throughout Iowa and Wisconsin. B2W Track electronic field logs allow the company to capture performance data immediately in a simple, systematic and consistent manner, according to assistant director of aggregate production Alex Gribben. “Reports and dashboards give us instant feedback,” he adds. “We have the data to address issues fast, with far less manual effort, redundant data entry and opportunities for error.”
