The Most Productive Place on Earth
Compiled by UC Staff
It’s a place where you can gaze upon modern mechanical marvels, mingle with the industry’s elite and catch up with the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) crew to hear the latest from Capitol Hill.
The Utility Construction EXPO at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel offers a host of benefits to its attendees and exhibitors. The exhibit hall grand opening kicks off with the A Little Bit of Paradise Party. Taking its inspiration from Jimmy Buffet’s famous song “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” the party lets you check out all the wonderful exhibitors while enjoying great food and “Margaritaville” style music and drinks.
In addition to the floor hours where you can pick the brains of today’s top product managers, the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) has a multitude of General Sessions planned — from “Innovation and Creativity” to “Business Growth” and “Business Leadership.” When you’re not taking in the show floor sites and getting business pointers at a general session, you’ll be cutting loose at one of the excellent evening events.
The event opens with the Havana Nights Party, sponsored by Caterpillar Inc. Join your colleagues on the beach for the opportunity to kick back with vendor partners and fellow contractors while enjoying Cuban music, food, drinks and entertainment — including an authentic cigar roller.
Tuesday night brings a night of NUCA Celebration — Disney Style, sponsored by John Deere and Hitachi. Meet NUCA’s 2010 President Dan East and enjoy the dinner buffet, a spectacular light show and appearances by your favorite Disney friends. Once your head stops spinning and you remember that this is actually a work trip (not a vacation), you’ll take a look at the info you’ve gathered and relationships you’ve forged at the Utility Construction EXPO ‘10 and be sure that it’s the most productive place on Earth.
